to Bear Creek Farm on the purchase of Notoriety. She is embarking on a new career as a
whip horse with the Bear Creek Hounds.
- Congratulations
to Wayne Pegram on the purchase of Sam
Spade. This pair is already
collecting many ribbons in the jumper divisions at local shows. Look for them to move up quickly. Best of luck on a long partnership
together!
- Congratulations
to Violet Dawe on the purchase of Crescent
Moon. We are thrilled that Violet
now has Crescent as she has been a fantastic broodmare and friend to
us. We hope she will continue on
for Violet as she did for us.
- Congratulations
to Barbara Bendzunas on her sale of Merlinkeepshiscool to Sarah Vaughn. Merlin and Sarah are already enjoying
success in the show ring together. We wish them the best of luck on their
future together!

Congratulations to Stacey and Cay Grenfell on the purchase of Oak Laurel and Cataloochee. We hope that their new breeding venture is a successful one. We think that they are off to a good start with these two mares. Kate is a proven producer of talented horses and Laurel was the 2006 AHHA Atlanta Site Champion, receiving her premium status.
Other news:
Congratulations to all of our mares, foals, and participants in our second AHHA approvals site held in September 2007. We are very appreciative of everyone who came out and donated their time to help and watch. We had some very good results for the farm horses!

Pinchona, owned by the Gardenology Group and bred by Pat Roach was site champion scoring 50 points, putting her in the Main Mare Premium Select book. A very high honor indeed! A tribute to her late sire, Fabio I, and his strong genes. Look for her to continue her winning ways in the hunter divisions.

V Carrera 316, owned and bred by Maggie’s Menagerie, by our very own Conifer and out of Nothing Ventured, was named site reserve champion with 47 points, receiving 8’s and 9’s for her free jumping. She passes go and collects her Main Mare Premium plaque on the way!

Very close behind and also with 47 points was another homebred, Thistle, who also received 8’s for her free jumping and put her in the Main Mare Premium book. Thistle is out of Evening Primrose and by Contendor.

And last but definitely not least is homebred Schefflera, by Fabio I and out of Morning Glory. She held back a little bit on show day and just missed out being named a premium mare. She scored 44 points and headed directly for the Main Mare book.

Other winners on the day included, Jackie Wammock’s Udinese, by Chardonay, scoring 45 points and Lindsay Abernethy’s Conifer colt C Augustus Luck, who made merit foal with a fantastic display of his beautiful gaits, wowing the crowd. We were also honored to have Susan Freed with her lovely mare, Cheenookee, who also headed directly for the Main Mare book and foal by Campesino who scored Merit. A final congratulations to owner Sharon Kherlopian and Peryn for successfully passing the mare performance test.

Congratulations to Tracy Schlabach and Panterra, by Fabio I, for being named the 2007 Region 3 All-Breeds First Level Freestyle Champions.

Many congratulations to Bill and Lori Hoos and their wonderful Mr. Wizard mare Royal Cross. She is taking the eventing world by storm, placing in the top 5 of her last 6 preliminary level events and winning 3 of them. This mare is definitely something to watch for in the future.
